This bill extends the coverage of the Pennsylvania Human Relations act to include sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression, extending non-discrimination policies with employment, housing and public accommodations.

The Fairness Act would add explicit statewide LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination protections. Pennsylvania is currently one of the only Northeastern states with no explicit statewide LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination protections. Polling showed 71% of Pennsylvanians supported the passage of HB 300.
